To conclude my plant based posts here are some images from "The House Book" by Terence Conran,  1974. Have plans to make the window shelves soon and will have to get some new plants, some oxalis triangularis would be nice.

Lastly here is my beautiful planty painting by illustrator Michael Kirkham.

Another post about plants, here are a few from my ever growing collection.

Here is a rubber bucket from 1950s that I love very much, bought in a wonderful antique and bookshop in Edinburgh called Duncan & Reid. Have plans to one day learn how to make something similar.

Here is a nice charity shop find, "The Prickly Plant Book", written by Sue Tarsky and plant illustrations by Grahame Corbett. I am pretty new to caring for houseplants but hope to expand my collection and get into propagating with the help of this book.

There was a Green Woodpecker in the garden yesterday and I was pretty excited (although the RSPB say its pretty common). As it was too far away for my camera to get a good picture I had a look on the web and ended up finding this "The Feather Book of Dionisio".The illustrations are made almost entirely from feathers and it dates from the 1600s. Hopefully I will see the woodpecker again, I heard him tapping away this morning. I could get quite into birding but pretty sure I won't ever be a twitcher.

I know there may still be Christmas trees on the streets and it is still January, but spring is here. I am a bit obsessed with the miniature daffodil plant that is visibly growing before my eyes. No January blues here, just eager anticipation about the year ahead, new slate and all that.

The Daffodils in the morning.
The Daffodils that same evening.

Move over winter the daffodils are here.

Made a couple of presents recently including this Nosey Purse, think I might have to make a few more for the shop. Have been working on a couple more cushion designs too, more news on them soon.

A belated happy new year to one and all, time is flying in 2012. In Banderole news get 15% off all Banderole products through the I Am The Lab shop, a place that celebrates all things handmade. The nice people at I Am The Lab also have started an excellent campaign called the 1AM promise to encourage people to buy 1 handmade item a month.  So to start you off The Lab shop would be a very good place to have a look at lots of really excellent handmade goods and get some nice discounts too.
